My Illness -
Please pray that if it be God's will He speed a miraculous cure for me. My thyroid gland died a year and a half ago. The replacement hormone does not work like a real thyroid. I can't hold a real job so I'm broke. I have so many "symptoms" that are health problems of their own. The doctors are throwing up their hands. Well meaning relatives and friends tell me all kinds of things... take vitamins, exercise (the worst thing, it uses up the hormone), think positive (not working). Some of them are now getting the problem themselves, which is very bizarre. Two of my best friends , and now my mother, have low thyroid levels. I don't want them to wind up like me. It is just a never ending battle. Also, if you please, pray that they figure out all the nuances of this problem. It seems to be so common yet we know so little.
